Course History
In 1992, Chapel Hill Golf Course was just a dream. Nelson Smith and Terry Wells had just purchased 200+ acres of what used to be the Mount Vernon Bible College. With high hopes of building a premier public golf course, construction began in 1994. On June 15, 1996, the dream became a reality as Chapel Hill Golf Course opened its doors to the public.
With a little creativity, the chapel that once served the Mount Vernon Bible College as a place of worship was converted into a one-of-a-kind clubhouse. A large pro-shop and comfortable snack area add to the uniqueness of Chapel Hill Golf Course.
Chapel Hill will always strive to continue the rich tradition of prestigious golf at affordable prices.
